My inner conches were an idea my mom accidentally gave me. She meant to mention to me to get a lower placed helix. The body piercer perceived that she meant an inner conch piercing. She showed me the picture of it and I instantly fell in love with it. This was when I was getting my rook and tragus piercings done (you can read those experiences too on BME). Ever since then I've wanted my inner conches done, mainly because I thought they'd be a very nice addition to my ear. Trust me they are a very nice addition to my ear.

Now here's the deal. I really had to pull a few strings and create a very convincing argument to persuade my mom into letting me get that done. See the main thing she had to say is that I just got two new ones done a month ago. Yeah I understand that but in all honesty, I won't deny it, I think I'm addicted. But what won her over is that I paid for them myself and I agreed not to get anything until my birthday in January. She agreed really fast on this one, which surprised me. I mean I called her at one today and she like said we'd talk about it when she gets home. So after about a half hour of talking she agreed to take me after my brother's baseball game. God, this is absolutely crazy my mom's agreeing to things, I wonder what's happening to her. Anyway, at the baseball game I grabbed my friend Anna because I promised her that I'd take her with on the next piercing I'd get. So after the game we left and went to the mall!

Ok, so we get to the mall and we go to Almost Famous. When I talk to the girl at the desk, she says they're all booked. So I'm just bummed because I really want to get it done. Then Jeff comes out and as he always does, he goes "And what can I do for you my dear?" Of course, I tell him what I want to get done. When he hears, I'd have to wait a week he says he'll give me a rain check or he can do one tonight and one tomorrow. I agree with the one tonight and one tomorrow but then ole Jeffy changes his mind. He goes "Well I can squeeze 'em both in tonight kiddo." Jeff basically squeezed me in because according to him I'm his favorite piercee. So like I do I then pick out my jewelry. After look, I decide on a 14g CBR that's teal with a hematite ball. I love it because the hoop is a greenish-purplish color. So I decide on this one and the girl at the desk tells me that I can go roam around till 8:15 so that's what Anna and I do.

So we come back and at about that time I'm really nervous (as I always get before getting a piercing). So half the people that found me at the mall (I swear everyone decided to go to the mall tonight) went and sat and waited by the dinosaur park thing. (If you're not from the FM, area don't ask.) So we wait a few seconds and Jeff comes out and takes me back. He decided to do my left ear first. I like how he does that he always starts on the person's non-dominate side first. He the cleans the ear and marks where he thinks it'd look the best and asks for my comment. He marks it exactly where I want it. I of course agree and he proceeds to clean the needle and put the cork behind my ear to catch the tip. So he goes like he always does "Ok sweetheart, now take a deep breath in, and exhale." As I exhale he put's the 14g needle through my conch. This one hurts, unlike my other piercings, but I have a high tolerance to pain and the pain's a livable. I didn't really even notice when he pulled the needle out and put the hoop in. Then it was on to my other conch. He did the same thing to that side. Except when he was putting the ball on that hoop I noticed it pulling a little more.

He gave me the usual piercing after care instructions. He said to wash it three times daily with unscented antibacterial soap. Then to do a no iodized sea salt soak. So I take 8 ounces of warm water and a 1/4 of a teaspoon of no iodized sea salt and mix them together. Then after that, I put the solution in a clean disposable dixie cup and soak them for 2-3 minutes. Then I just pat them dry and I'm set to go. This cleaning regimen works very effectively and you'll have great results with it I promise! I absolutely love my conch piercings and if anyone has any questions about them, my AIM is LaNoirPapillion. Or you can just email me which ever works best for you! Happy piercing!
