Well, I've really wanted to get my tragus pierced for about the last year or so & I finally asked my mom if I could get it done for my 15th birthday. She actually said yes! My mom was in the hospital on my birthday so I had to wait a month to get it done. I wanted to go get it done on my boyfriend's 16th birthday. So my mom called P.S. Great Tan & asked how much it would be to get my tragus pierced & they said $20.00 but we needed to call Rich's cell & they gave us the number. After talking to them we called Rich's cell but he didn't answer, so my mom waited about two hours & called him back & asked if I could get an appointment for that day but he was at his other job in St Louis until 7:00 am that day. So, we made an appointment to get my tragus pierced for the next day at 2:00 pm.

Even though I already had 13 piercings I was still really really nervous yet I was excited at the same time. I hardly slept all night because I was ready to go get pierced. I talked to my boyfriend about if I should get one or both done he told me to get one & see how it went & then if I was fine to get the other one.
I had my friend Carissa go with me for some "support". We got up there around 2:00 pm .. but there was no Rich. For thirty minutes we had to wait & listen to alot of preps talking about their cell phones, how they didnt want to go to their ball game & the big storm that was coming our way. We had to wait until 2:30 pm before he finally got there. Finally Rich called us back, & he asked me what I wanted done & I told him that I wanted my tragus done. My mom had to sign a paper since Im under 18. Then he had me pick out what jewelry I wanted in my tragus, I chose a little captive hoop with a black ball. After that he told me to lay down on the little bed thingy on my side. He got all the stuff ready & marked my tragus. When he had it marked he explained the procedure to me step by step, at this time my mom left the room.
He put a cotton ball in my ear so if it bleed I wouldnt get blood in my ear.Then he put the clamps on my tragus which hurt really bad. After he had the clamps in place he pushed the needle through my tragus ..but it didnt go all the way through. Then he had to stop & start all over again but the needle went through the second time. At this time he told me that I had a very thick tragus. Then he took out the needle & slid a rod in. After a couple minutes he wiped off the blood from my ear & he twisted the rod alittle. Then he took out the rod & placed the hoop in my tragus. Then he put my ball in but it popped out so he had to tighten my ring alittle & he replaced the ball. Then he finished cleaning my ear & took the cotton ball out.
He told me I was done & I could look at it in the mirror on the door & he told me & my mom how to clean it. My mom asked how much she owed him but he said it was free because we had to wait on him, thats his policy. The only thing that really hurt was the clamp ... I really love my tragus :D After we left PS Great Tan, thats where Waist UP Piercings was at. We got into the car & I looked at my tragus in the mirror. My mom looked at me & said I was going to get mine done too but when he explained it to you I decided not to. I thought that was funny, my mom wanted a tragus piercings too. Then we talked about how it was nice of Rich to give me the piercing for free because he had fallen asleep waiting to come pierce me.
I really really really love my tragus piercing alot. I think its pretty kool, besides all the crustiness. One thing I thought was pretty funny too was that my mom said I should be ready for tattoos now.
