I have been getting pierced for quite some time now I can still remember my first one, it was a regular ear lobe piercing my second to last was my tongue right now I have my left eyebrow pierced twice, both ear lobes and ear cartilage pierced four times, three piercing in my nose one in my right nostril two in my left, my tongue stretched to an eight gauge and both of my knuckles pierced and I was seriously starting to get bored with the whole thing. Then I noticed a girl with a conch piercing while I was riding the bus and I decided that I wanted one too but not just any ordinary conch piercing since I figured that a lot of other people would have it too, I wanted to get a double piercing even a triple in the same ear if possible.
At A Glance Author Cearel Contact pierced_monkey2000@yahoo.com When A month ago Artist Lisa Studio Studio13 Location Salinas, California I started to check out different studios my first being Tattoo (simple name huh) but their shop was a little too crowded and I was kind of in a hurry plus they would not even do the double piercing. My second choice was Studio 13 and it instantly felt right, the studio was really clean and the receptionists was very good looking but most important was that there was only one other person ahead of me. I was greeted in a friendly manner and after I told them what I wanted and I paid I was given a complete cleaning instruction lecture and a sheet for me to keep I was then lead to the piercing room which was also very clean and sanitary. Now I will tell you that no matter how many times I get pierced or how much I say I am not nervous, I usually am and at that moment I was ready to run out screaming like a little girl who has just seen a mouse. I could feel my adrenaline rising and the urge to change my mind and not go trough with it was strong but Lisa's soothing helped to relax me.
The first thing that she did was show me that all of her tools were sterilized by taking them out of their packages, second she marked the best location for my for my double because she said that the triple would not be possible especially on one trip, third she explained what she was going to do and cleaned my ear. I will tell you one thing when the first needle went through I felt like jumping up and down but a managed to restrain myself. Lisa gave a few minutes to relax and mentally prepare myself for the second piercing which she asked if I still wanted (they really are this nice to you). I said yes and she did the three count and put the second needle through , at this point I was thinking thank god its over, right up until the moment Lisa told me if I was ready to put the earrings in, I was like "what, where not done yet"? she just gave me this funny look and laughed.
She told me too hold still and inserted the first earring into the needle tubing then pulled the earring through and screwed in the back ball, too my surprise this did not hurt as much as I had expected it too it was more like there was a sudden pressure increase in my ear then just the throbbing feeling you get after you smashed your finger with a hammer. I was then told to relax a for a few minutes because the second piercing was going to hurt just a little more seeing as to how my ear was already sensitive from the first piercing. After about five minutes she asked me if I was ready and I said yes, she then repeated the inserting procedure and screwed on the back ball, this by the way did hurt more not enough for me to regretted it but enough to make me feel a little light headed.
This all happened about a month ago and I have been going back to the studio every other day to make sure that it is healing properly, the swelling from the outer area around the conch has almost all gone away and the reddening has turned into a healthy brown. Both of the piercing look totally awesome and I have yet too see another person with them, they were placed so that one of the earrings is above the other one and there is just enough room for one more in the middle and two more on the side which I am hoping are possible that would make for a pretty cool cross design, I have yet too run this idea by Lisa who I have decided should do them I am pretty pleased with the way she treated me and the shops overall cleanliness, if anyone decides too get this done I highly recommend it and I highly recommend visiting Studio 13. If anyone has any questions regarding this piercing or any of my other ones hit me up at my email thank you for your time.
