I had been thinking about getting some stuff done for a while on me, but the only real issue was money. So once I had saved up more than enough for my tattoo ( yes, this is about a piercing, read on) I went down to my local tattoo parlor called Shaman's Den. I was there to see Ernie to get a piece of custom art done on me. As it was in the planning stages, I was not going to get any of it done that day. But while I was in there, I wanted to get SOMETHING done (as I KNOW happens with many people). So I wanted a piercing. I could have gone with the regular holes in my ears, but I descided to get a helix. Every one has their ears pierced but I wanted to get something done without that. This is my first pro piercing. I did my own belly button and nipple, but removed them later on. Yes I am a guy and had my belly button pierced. I had to take them out so I could get an MRI done and they were not heald enough for me to switch the rings. Plus now that they healed up without any sca ring I can get them redone someday if I wish.

I filled out the form and waited until the room was set. I walked back and sat down on the dentist chair. Dan, the piercer, went over all the care and caution things with me. He the cleaned my ear and washed his hands many times. I looked over at my girlfriend while he was getting ready. Just told me to breathe in and out in a VERY soothing tone. There was no point in trying to look at it cause I obviously can not see my own ear so I should not mess it up by trying to turn my head towards it. I barely felt it go through and I am told I didnt even blink. My girl was worried about me dealing with the pain. She just cares about me. He pushed the needle through and all I felt was a pinch. Then he hooked the ring on there and lid it through. One it was in, he put the ball in and bent the ring to hold in place. I then went back to the lobby and paid and tipped Dan. Yes, TIP YOUR PIERCER AND TATTOO ARTIST! Hegave me the soap to put on it and gave me papers with my cleaning instruct ions on them.

It healed up pretty well. I cleaned it every day at least once. I didnt play with it or hang things from it so it was pretty quick. Sleeping on it was the only real day to day problem. I did have a problem when I tried taking it out for the first time when I needed to get a CT scan done and they didnt have any tools for me to use. It bleed a bit from messing with it but now it is just fine. Here is a grainy pic I took myself with my camera phone the day it was done.



This is my only body mod showing. Its funny casue this is just a little thing and while at work (I have to wear a shirt and tie every day) no one knows what lies underneath it all. I dont think anything else I get will be visible to the public.

I am not sure what else I want done. Dan is VERY good at what he does. He has done my ear, my girlfriends eyebrow, belly button and re-pierced her ears and did my friends tounge. All of them came out great. I am considering getting my nipples done, but I am VERY broke so we will see. I am also trying to get my girlfriend to warm up to me getting a PA. We talked about it for a bit and she seemed interested - it was her who brought it up - but then one day she just said, nah, dont want you to get it.

I have gone to Shaman's for my tattoo since then and it came out great. I need to get it colored still. It is all paid for, but I was not able to get anything done on me for a while cause of a concusson. This is my 14 and I was blacking out regularly so it would have been very dumb of me to get anything done when my body is like that, as well as very unprofessional for someone to do work on your while your health is low. Hence the CT scan. I will try to link to it somehow and the pics once they are up. It is of a jolly roger on my left thigh.
