I went to the mall and got my ear cartilage gunned (YES I know that that's not smart!)

So I've decided to stretch my piercing. The only problem was that I couldn't stretch my lobes, because I have my double-holes done and I did them myself so their too close to my first holes. I was NOT willing to risk the danger of my lobes taring, thanks very much.
I talked to my friend, Kevin, who stretched his cartilage piercing to a 2 gauge. I was like "WHOA WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!?!" when I first met him, but after we never really talked about it. He explained to me that it was the most painful and hardest thing he's ever had to do. Thanks, Kev. That really made me feel great. He also told me that the first thing he did was take an exacto knife and a Q-tip, cut the Q-tip in half and shave it to a point, then shoved it through his ear. Sounds like fun? Well I was terrified.
I had been talking about stretching my ear for a while now. My mom wasn't really against it, but she sure as hell wasn't for it. My dad hated the thought, but that didn't really bug me. I asked my mom one last time if I could just go to the store and only stretch it to one size bigger (at that time it was a 14ga, so I wanted to go to 12ga, my goal was 8ga) She said no, not until baseball was over, and also not until we got back from vacacion...IN THE SUMMER!
I got really mad. I wanted it so bad! I went upstairs to the bathroom and brought with me sissors, a toothpick, and a box of Q-tips. First I set up. Got lots of tissue ready, and made sure we had some dissenfectent spray. I then cut the Q-tip in half, cut the end at a tapered slant, and set it down.
Without thinking about sterilazing it, I shoved the toothpick in my ear. Ouch, but not THAT bad. The toothpick was not only wooden, but it was one of those flat ones, so it felt like it was cutting into my ear.
I pulled that out the other side, and picked up the Q-tip. I thought it was only a 12ga, not a 10! I slowly pushed that through, while I was being drenched in blood. I thought I might faint. I told myself that it would be worth it, and to not be a baby. I kept taking it out and putting it back it, causing it to bleed more. I pushed it through the last little bit, and looked in the mirror.
Oh shit did that look good. Besides the blood running down my face, and my ear looking purple, the little tube looked great! I didn't have any O-rings, so I just left it there for about...the whole 4 days.
4 days later, I realized I kept having to check to make sure it was there. I didn't want to do that! So, I thought, was a better thing to do then actually get my poor-ass some money to buy a fucking ring! I asked my mom to drive me to the mall so I could pick out a ring of some sort. I went to Ardene's, and saw these claws, which were so cool. My mom asked if they were the same size as I had in now. "Suuuuure" I replied. And finally, she let me buy them.
I went home and showed my sister. She told me to not put them in right away, because I had only waited 4 days and her friend told her it's not healthy. I waited...till the night. Then, I went into my room, took out the Q-tip, and pulled the O-rings off the 8ga claw. I lubed it up, and it slid into my ear. No pain what-so-ever.
I had that in for awhile. My friends asked to see it without the ring, so I took it out and showed them. They either said "ewww" or "oh my god that's SO cool." I was proud I was at my goal, but stretching is ADDICTING.
After about, 9 or so days, I decide to go bigger. It just so happens I had also bought along with my 8ga claw a 6ga claw, by "mistake" Hell yeah, I knew what I was doing! I go in the shower first and the into my room, pull out the 6ga claw, and look at it for awhile. Oh shit, is it big!
I heard that a juice-box-straw is 6ga, so once again I decide to make a taper. Told you I'm a poor-ass.
Well, I shave that down, and start pushing. I know what stretching feels like, and that sure as hell isn't right. The edges were cutting my skin, and hurting SOOO bad. I take it out carefully, and pick up the claw. I lube that up, and start pushing. HARD.
FINALLY, it slips in. My ear was throbbing, but thankfully, not bleeding. I place on the O-rings and look in the mirror. I don't think I've ever been more proud.
My parent's didn't notice for 5 days that it was bigger. Finally, my mom confronted me and said that it seems to look a tad bit bigger, but it just might be her eyes. I told her I had put in the bigger one, because I didn't know and it just slipped in. Haha, what a laugh.
I kept in the 6ga claw for a LONG time (such as a week, a go really fast) It was acrilic though, and I heared for stretching, you should not use acrilic on a fresh open piercing because it will spread chemicals. I decided, then, to look for a new ring.
I went to Downtown Vancouver, and went into a store called Anatomic. Great store, it is. But I was flat broke (duh) and they wanted $40 for a normal flesh tunnel! Hell no, I don't think so. One lady working there felt really sorry for me, because I told her I had stretched in about 3 weeks tops, and it was really starting to hurt. She gave me all this free cleaning soaps and stuff, and she's really sweet for that. Scary at first, but nice.
I saved up a bit more money, and asked my sister to lend me a few bucks. I then went to Geronamo Tattoo's and Piercing, in Richmond. I walked in and asked if they had any plugs or flesh tunnels or somthing like that. They said they didn't, but could order in. Fuck. I placed my order, and left.
As soon as I got home, I got a call from Geronamo. They said they actually had one in, and it would only cost $25. Woot! So I went down there, picked it up, and popped it in.
That's what my ear is at now, 6ga. I don't think I'm going to stretch it in a while, because it's still sore from going to the 6ga. Stretching from 8-6 and 14-10 were the hardest, and it hurt.
I don't think I'm going to stretch lately because I work at dances for pre-teens and stuff like that, and I put in those mini-glowsticks in it, and they get grossed out. It's fun, and hilarious to watch.
If you're thinking about stretching, GO SLOW. Honestly. You don't want to hurt as bad as I did. My goal now is a 2 gauge, but not for awhile. So go out, stretch, and have a great time!
