Backtrack to about a month ago, my mom agreed to let me have a cartilage piercing, so we go to the mall because we had no idea where to look for a tattoo place but I was happy at the time because I was getting my ear pierced for the first time. So we go in and you know what happens next, she uses the gun and it was the biggest mistake of my life. The studs made my ear get infected so I kept trying to make them uninfected by using the solution they gave me, but of course it didn't work and I ended up taking them out, but I soon plan on having my cartilage repierced as soon as possible.

But onto the point of my story, after my cartilage experience I wasn't planning on having anything pierced for awhile, until my cousin comes into town. My cousin lives in Hawaii and she'll try anything once..or twice..she has many piercings. So I was checking out her ears and I noticed her conch piercing and I told her it looked really cool. Not two seconds after I mentioned it she goes, go ask your dad and if he says yes we'll go tomorrow and get you pierced. So of course my dad being the cool guy he is said sure. So the next day I was up by 7:30 because I was so excited, which isn't normal because I usually always sleep in. So we both got up I jumped in the shower and we headed out.

I was hoping I wouldn't need any ID or anything like that but unfortunately I did, but I guess thats a good thing I guess since you know that they won't just pierce something just to pierce something for the money, but my cousin being the cool person she is got her's pierced on the other side so I would know what to expect. So I dragged my slumped-over self back home and I was sad because I had no idea where my birth certificate was. When my dad got home I told him the whole story and luckily he found it. So I had to wait a whole 'nother night but when it was time I was so happy, so..off to the piercing studio. When we arrived the nerves started to kick in. I didn't know if I could hold down my lunch but I managed. I was shaking and my stomach felt so weird to the point of where it started to hurt. So here I go down the green hallway to the piercing room, the piercer Corry was real cool he could tell I was a bit nervous so he talked to me while he prepped, then he marked me a nd asked if I liked the placement I trusted his judgment and said it was just fine. I watched him take everything out of their new packages except for the needle because I hate looking at needles, but I know it was new because I heard the rumpling and crumpling of the package. So he told me to breathe in and out and he was gonna count to three and when he got to three he would stick me. 1...2..3 and it was done..It hurt a little bit but not bad at all definatly not unbearable. So he put the jewelry in which hurt a little bit but once again not too bad. Then I watched him break the needle so he could never use it again. After all that he went over the aftercare instructions with me very throughly and whatnot and then, I tipped him two bucks (I know I'm cheap but thats all I had), and I was on my way. The whole way home I kept checking out my new piece of metal it is just so awesome!! I couldn't wait for it to heal so I could play with it.

Its been about two hours since it's been done and its not sore at all but I'm not to excited about the first nights sleep. It's really not that bad and if you were really worried about it like me don't be it's not at all bad as your expecting it to be, I was so worried about it I didn't even hear the "pop". If you are in the Houston area I'd definatly recommend going to Southern Boys and asking for Corry.

Once again if you are thinking about getting your conch pierced. Do it as soon as possible, and I want to stress as much as possible that it really doesn't hurt at all, just "like a bee sting". This piercing looks really really awesome you will get so many compliments it's unbelievable. If you have any questions you can e-mail me. Thanks for reading this and I hope it helps you guys.

Happy Piercing!!!
