I got my very first piercing when I was sixteen, which was my navel. After that I got others. I also have three tattoos but I've always loved being pierced much more then getting a tattoo. Eventually I started running out of things to pierce that I had wanted and I didn't want anything else pierced on my face as I had enough trouble with what I had as far as work and so on goes. So thats when I decided to move on to my ears, I had plenty of open space to work on there.

My birthday was coming up and my friends decided that if I found a new piercing that I had wanted, thats what they would get for me. Nothing came to mind until we took our friend to get her conch pierced I was looking at the little model ear they had set up and all the things they could pierce on it. Thats when I saw a piercing that with jewelery connects your tragus with your anti tragus. I fell in love with it and made them come look at it. I honestly had never seen that piercing done before and I knew right away that that was what I wanted for my birthday. They got a price on it and we set up an appointment and I was all ready to go.
So the day had finally come for my lovely new piercing and I couldn't be any more excited. We go in and the piercer takes me back and checks my ear out. He started measuring so he could find jewelery that would fit comfortably and left to go get it. When he came back he started to measure it over and then told me he may not be able to pierce it. It turns out that he had just gotten confused by me explaining what kind of jewelery I wanted in it, so once we got that figured out he left again. My friends asked me if I was nervous and I admit I was a little bit but this was something that I wanted so much that I wasn't backing down.
He came back in and got all set up. He cleaned my ear, explained what he was going to be doing and then started. He first pierced my tragus, and as soon as the needle went through, I could hear my friends quietly say 'owww' although to me, it didn't hurt at all. In fact I think that the tragus is one of the least painful piercings. Once the tragus was pierced he put the first part of the jewelery into it. He then pierced my anti tragus, when I again heard my friends whisper 'oowww.' I will admit that my anti tragus did hurt a little bit, but nothing that I wouldn't do over if I had to. He pierced it a bit slowly since it was at an angle which I think made it hurt that little bit. I always focus my mind on other things when I am getting pierced though, so the pain is rarely a factor. After that was pierced he put the rest of the jewelery in and cleaned it up for me and let me see it. I was more then happy with it. It was exactly what I wanted and looked exactly how it should have, he did an amazing job on it. He then gave me my new piercing information booklet and explained some of the things in it with me and sent me on my way.
After I had left there I went to my mothers work to show her. She wasn't exactly sure what I was getting done so I wanted to show it off right away. It was still bleeding a bit so at first she didn't seem to like it so much. But since then it has obviously stopped bleeding and has healed wonderfully and she approves of it now.
About a month after having it pierced I had lost one of the balls and during sleep it had fallen out and the next morning I had to find the jewelery and put it back in which was kind of a pain since it was still healing but I had my piercer check it out for me and replace the ball for me and since then I have had no problems with it. I love it, its healed perfectly and I get lots of compliments on it. I even get people who are standing behind me in line and happen to see it say 'wow, I can't even stand getting a normal regular ear piercing, how could you do that?' Since getting it done, I have actually seen other people with it, actually a week after getting it done I saw three people in about one week with it which surprised me since I had seen no one with it before. But its an interesting piercing and I'm happy to see other people with it.
If you plan on getting this piercing done, definitely do it. Trust me, you'll love it and it definitely gets people talking.
