Everyone who has wanted a piercing at some time or another knows what the piercing bug is. Its like a rush when you see a piercing that makes you feel like you have to have one. Like you need it, and that there is nothing you want more. The process of actually getting the piercing you want is different for everyone. Depending on your age, and how pain you can handle etc...I've caught this bug a couple of times, and its done me well. I have my belly button, and my 1st and second (normal size) holes in my lobes. My parents wont let me get anything facial like my nose or labret, but when I get older..it will change! So, you have come to read my industrial experience. Well, it all started.............*dreams*

Shes always on BME looking at the pictures, reading the experiences, and then showing me the piercings she wants. One day she showed me an industrial. It was like love at first sight! The piercing bug caught me. Since my last piercing was 6 months ago *my bellybutton* it was time for another one! One thing that sucks about being 14 and wanting piercings...something always gets in the way. PARENTS! I read up all about the industrial piercing, and found a good picture. Then, I showed my mom and dad and they said no. However, I wasn't going to let them stop me. About a week later, my mom had to go on a trip for work. That means I would have a whole week with her gone, and my dad is a sucker! I tried everything...cleaning the house, acting responsible etc.. but it wouldn't work. I know this is VERY childish...but I knew what I had to do (this sounds like mission impossible) dun dun dun...I had to beg. It took me ab out 3 hours of yelling, arguing, and crying! My dad even offered me a cell phone instead..but I wouldn't take it! I called AP and made sure I was old enough (13yrs old at the time) and my dad said he would take me the next day.....
The day was February 28th 2004. I was excited and had no nerves at all! When it was 12pm (AP opens) I got nervous. My dad drove me and my brother was coming too. When we got there I told the girl at the front what I wanted and she said it would be 10-15 minutes. While waiting, my brothers friends came in. They were hard core kind of punk people, and that made me nervous. They asked what I was getting and then didn't talk to me after that. Now it was time...they called me back. I sat on the "table" and sat there while he went to get gloves and the cleaned supplies etc...Then I could feel him marking the entry places and figuring out where to put it. He put on the clamp and I knew exactly what was coming. The routine is always the same. They tell you to breathe in, then exhale *pierce* and thats exactly what happened. The 1st hole was really fast, and didn't hurt much at all...mostly pressure. He did the same thing for the top hole but it took a little longer to go through..I managed to say "ow ow ow ow ow" before he was done...but then he got it through and finished putting the bar in. I was done. However, I felt a little sick. He told me to lay back and turned on a fan. The fan was blowing right in my face, it was nice! They got me a soda, and when I finished drinking it...time too look in the mirror! Oh it was BEAutiful! I was very very happy with it. They told me how to clean it, gave me a sheet, and I bought some sea salt solution. When I walked back into the front where my brother and his friends were, I was SO DAMN PROUD! They asked if it hurt, I told them it didn't hurt at all. We left and went home. My brother said that his friends said I was "clashing styles" because I also had hoop earrings in. Who cares what they think..I love it!
It didn't hurt at all! Let me tell you, at the time I was 13 years old. If I can handle it, then you can. Plus, it looks awesome. I've never seen anyone in person with this piercing, besides me. ITS WORTH IT! Now, I am 14 years old and I've been cleaning it with dial anti-bacteria soap and the sea salt solution every day. Its healing really well. In 2 months I'll be able to change the ends. can you say spikes? So, I hoped you enjoyed reading my experience.
