**Don't try this yourself!! It is very dangerous!!**

I loved the way my ears looked, so I decided to do some myself.
It must have been, at least a week before Christmas, I was at school, and I saw a girl who had ten earrings. I knew at that moment that I MUST have more earrings! So, as soon as I got home, I prepared myself. I had heard that you should eat before you pierce, so I had an apple and some water.
Then I got all my materials together. They were consisting two earrings that I had gotten from my lobe piercing, they were already sharp on the back, so I could just push them through, a safety pin, an earring, cotton balls and some peroxide. I was so excited for what I was about to do that I hadn't really thought about pain. My other three piercings were done at the mall with a gun, and there isn't really a lot of pain involved in those. But I would soon learn what pain was.
I decided to use my sharp backed earrings first. I cleaned them and my ear several times. I started to take deep breaths in and out, to help calm myself. I took the first earring, and started to push it through my left ear, and it hurt a little, but not too much. When it was half way in, I began to get tears in my eyes, my ear felt like it was on fire! There was a small amount of blood, and then a loud "CRACK!" it scared me half to death! I grabbed the rounded back to the earring and put it on. And smiled at the reflection in the mirror. I did this same thing to my right ear. I had pierced in between my cartilage and my lobe by the way.
My parents were not too happy with them. They were disappointed, but they agreed that they looked cool. The next day, when I got home, I again, took out my safety pin and such. I was ready now; I was going to do six more piercings, that day! I started with my lobe. I cleaned my "tools" and ear. Then stuck the safety pin through, surprisingly...it didn't hurt as much as my other two piercing, and there was no blood...at first. I left the pin in my ear, and walked around, because I was shaking and getting dizzy, so I had some water, and continued.
I took out the pin, and picked up an earring. Now, the earring I was using that day, were NOT sharp backed. So, when I went to put them in my newly made hole, it wouldn't go all the way through. VERY frustrated, I began to curse, quite loud as I pushed the earring through. There was a large amount of blood running down my ear and onto my neck. I cleaned my ear and drank some water.
As I had said, I did six ears piercing that day. My other lobe went similarly to my previous one. Now I decided to do my cartilage. I cleaned my bloody needle and began to push through the lower cartilage on my right ear. And the pain was BAD.
It felt like my ear was being poked at with a hot iron! Because I was piercing my ears so many times within such a small amount of time, my ears were very swollen and VERY sore. And I had lost a lot of blood. Enough to make me dizzy and blur my vision. As I pushed the earring through, I again heard that loud "CRACK!" I almost fell to the floor, and gave myself and 20-minute break to relax and put some ice on my now bloody swollen ears. After my break, I did two more cartilage. I was SOOO proud! The next day at school, I showed all my friends. Some of them were disgusted, but most thought it was awesome!
My PARENTS on the other hand, were quite pissed. My dad said he wanted me to stop "mutilating" myself. And that made me angry, so for about, a week, I wouldn't talk to him. But, he was smarter than I was. He noticed that my left piercings hadn't gone down in redness or swelling, as my right ear had. I told him it was normal...but I didn't really know. A few days later, I had sharp pains in my left side, and the pain was coming from my ear. I finally looked at my ear, and it was blood red, and was too sensitive to touch. I decided to take out those piercing. I was upset that they had not worked out, but I was happy that my ear was all right. Now I have six-ear piercings. I had to take three out, again, because of infection. I'm trying to convince my parents to let me get a rook or a non-tragus. I hope they say yes!!
Overall, I'm very happy with my piercings, and wouldn't change what I did for anything :)
