Well here it is my little story of a great piercing done by Sarge and the *forgotten guy*
At A Glance Author Kerri Contact animal_girl@hotmail.com When Six months ago Artist Sarge Studio Metal Fatigue Location Bournemouth, Dorset, Uk I had spoke to my mum and dad about getting another piercing and with my 6 in each ear already they weren't to keen on me getting anymore so I being the schemey little child I am thought of ways around it. So the only way was to stretch the truth and the boundaries! I told my dad I was just getting two more in one ear, well I was I was just having them joined with a bar =P Telling the same to my mum she said fine and said she'd take me there on Saturday morning my plan worked!
Saturday morning, stood outside Metal Fatigue an hour before opening times...Called up my mum told her to come up the one million steps that there are leading to the door to Sarge's office.
Eventually when Sarge opened up he was sat inside, he made us feel quite welcome and all and so I told him exactly what I wanted, an Industrial in my left ear. He agreed, measured me up and sent this other guy who works there *sorry forgot your name* over to Paradox to get me a 1.6x30mm bar.My friends sat down and looked through some of the books with all the pictures in...
Then they showed my mum what I was getting done...She gave me the *I didn't know you were getting that, your going to ruin your body* look...but still she signed the form and paid and we went into the piercing room. Oh yeah it was reasonably priced in there it was 40pounds but I got the bar, any aftercare I needed and if I needed the bar to be changed for rings that was included too.
Everything was very very clean and tidy and my mum and I were quite happy with Sarge and the cleanliness. I think he sort of scared my mum though...anyway. I sat in the chair and sarge re-measured my ear and took the bar and cleaned it all up for the piercing. I began to panic..not as much as my mum though who had to come in as I was under 16...it actually made me feel better as I was laughing at her so it took my mind off the actual piercing. Anyway he did the piercing and it hurt a little but not so much that I cried or anything. It was very warm afterwards and hardly bled. I looked at the mirror and had a huge grin on my face for the rest of the day =D so I sent off my mum home and walked around Bournemouth for the rest of the day showing general people I met my fab new piercing, I already had 6 normal studs in each ear so it was another one to add to the family!
Back home I showed my dad who gave me the *you ruined your ears* look the same as my mum but shrugged it off and continued cooking but insisted I kept it clean and safe from infection as I tend to forget about things like that and screw up! Well this all in all was easy and defiantly more stretching of the truth will come!
School was fine with it, its hilarious if I take it out at school because all the stupid girly girls all get fully disgusted as I pull it out =D. The teachers who have seen it just tell me to wear my hair down, which is pretty cool I guess!
So it was fine and all for about the first 3 weeks then I started getting these *HUGE* lumps on the top of the top hole, man did they hurt, sleeping hurt, washing my hair hurt everything I did hurt it. So I went back to Sarge and he took out my bar and swapped it for two rings...I hated the rings. they made the piercing look less...pierced :S ah well the top one went down anyway and the pain was reduced but then I a few days later I got one in the bottom hole and it hurt even more...not being able to get into Bournemouth again for a while I went to my doctors who just told me I was an idiot and sent me away.. Yeah thanks a lot doc *sarcasm* so I just sort of put up with them...and the general *third ear* comments I got at school. Now 3 months after my piercing they have eventually gone. I'm super happy with it now and now looking into either septum/tongue web/lip piercing. Probably septum or tongue web as I just love stuff that a lot of other people don't have! Also because at school they make you wear these stupid bright blue plaster over all visible piercings and if I wear retainers they should be fine!
So I think if your thinking about getting it done defiantly research it and I highly recommend Sarge and *the other guy* they're great! Ooh and look about on Bmezine for what you want first too!
