-Before-

Let me start off by saying I've had my ears pierced for awhile. But they were done at walmart with a gun, by a lady who I still don't think speaks english. This was before I knew about real ear piercings. Well to move on I loved my piercings, Thought they were the best thing I ever could have done. Untill... Kids started to make fun of me and my "wimpy" gauged ears. I started noticing how these kids had much thicker hoops than mine, And they went straight through their ears. I was amazed, I didn't know you could do this. So I tried to gather some information. I decided to get 14g hoops. But I didn't have money at the time and didn't even know where to go. So I just let the idea rest awhile.

-Set Things In Motion-

Well fast forward a few months and my friend Jon steps in. He's alil older than me and lo and behold...What dose he have but, Plugs! Small ones but still bigger than what I had seen. "Now that is somthing I can really get into" I thought to myself. So me and Jon talked about how he got his done. Turns out he's good friends with the piercer. So he's got some work he needs done on his house and says to me. "help me for a few hours today and I'll pay to get your ears done." I dind't even need to think about it. Yes all the way. Make things short, I work, we talk, we go 1st thing next weekend.

-The Big Day-

Well it came. Both slowly and much too fast. To say the least I was nervious. I mean I never had a real needle tear through my body before. But I wanted this done, I mean I really wanted this done. I knew it would look amazing and I would be so happy. So we drive up to the place, Put on some punk to get pumped up. It's just an unexplainable feeling. So we get there, walk in and Jon starts talking to his friend, the piercer, Jay. "He likes my ears dude. What do ya think?" "well" Jay calmly says "let's give em to him." He then asks me if I had a gauge in mind. I told him I liked Jon's and that I'd do the same and go up alil at a time. "But why? We can give you that now." This is awsome, I don't even have to wait. "Sure" with a voice that gives away my uneasyness. I sign the papers. Go in the back room and take a seat. This place was like a hospital, smelled like it too. Knowing what I do now, I can see it was a great shop. I took out my old 20g and we decided to use the holes that were already there for markers, but he still used the purple pen to mark it out. Then he cleans it with some amber coloured stuff, and get the clamps ready. Clamps off my ear, takes a brand new needle out of the wrapper. Kindda bigger than what I came in thinking but hey, it'll be over soon and I'll have my new plugs, right? Tells me to breathe in the out slowly, And... It goes through, alil pop sound and he puts a cork on the end of it. He then unwraps my new plug. puts some stuff on it and pushes the needle through and the plug in, in one motion. The pain, well it did sting quite a bit, but as soon as the jewelry was in, it dulled to a light throb. And and quickly as that was, went to my other ear. He had to have changed gloves like 6 times. All done, I stand up, look in the mirror. Couldn't be happier. Had some blood going down my neck but he said that it was normal for that gauge. He gives me the paper on how to clean it, ect. and says that it was hardcore and most people arn't willing to get larger gauges done. So it's off to Ruby T uesdays for some food and to show my new plugs off.

-6 Months To Forever-

After care was standard. Sea salt soaks and soap. The bleeding stoped in a few days. The soreness stops almost just as quick too. And that was 6 months ago. In that time I've set my eyes on 0g (at least) I just want them to be able to close in the need arises. right now i'm at a 4g and going to 2g this weekend. I'll probably be writing about that as well as my labret. So if this wasn't too long for you, then keep an eye out. If your thinking about getting your ears done and want big gauges. Save yourself time and money and get something like a 6g or a 4g even. You'll love em more everyday.
