About a year ago, I wanted my ears pierced. I went to this place called Claire's (I'm not sure that's what is was though) and I wanted my ears pierced. I did not want them done at that time after all so I thought about it for a while if i really wanted to get them done.
At A Glance Author anonymous Contact anonymous@bme.anon When N/A Artist julie. Studio her house I talked to my friend Julie about piercings I wanted and stuff (septum, lip, ear etc.) and she told me she would pierce my ears for me. I said ok and it only costs 10 dollars each hole and so I thought about it for a while yes I know this was not safe at all but I did not know of any piercing studios to go too and I thought it would be clean enough to pierce because she did a lot of her piercings herself I don't advise anyone else doing it by getting their friend to pierce you its not safe at all you should at least go to a professional where it is clean and you are sure you are doing it the best way as well. Then she came to my place. We were talking about this piercing and she told me if I wanted to do it that night and I said ok and then we sat around for a while and then I asked my parents for the money and what they thought about me getting this piercing. They said it was fine with them and if I get an infection or something from doing it at someone else's house and not at a professional it is my own problem and I agreed.
Then me and Julie went to her house and she got everything ready to pierce she got a new needle and a marker to mark my ear so I could see if I like the placement or not. She then marked where she thought looked good on my ear and I agreed with her that I liked it and she asked me if I wanted to use some ice to make it a little numb. I said ok and then I waited about a couple minutes and I told her that I was ready to pierce. She took out the 18 gauge piercing needle which she had ordered from BME before and counted to 3 as she pushed it through my ear and I was amazed how fast it went through. It did not hurt very much at all. She then decided to keep the needle in my ear for a couple minutes so the hole would stay open then she took out the needle and got the gold stud jewelry and put it in.
It looked great I was very happy with it and so we did the same for the second lobe on that same ear. She then proceeded to tell me the aftercare and what to use to wash it and how long I had to wait to change my jewelry she said I could probably change it whenever I feel like it but to wait a couple days so my piercing does not get infected or anything. I cleaned my ear piercing with salt water and I cleaned it about 2 times a day (in the morning and before I went to bed) and whenever I felt like doing it.
One day I noticed some weird stuff in my ear I asked her what it was and if it is an infection she said it was just crap and I should not think anything of it. I was happy and then one day I was playing around with my earring and it started to bleed and so I just washed it with salt water and put it back in and it was fine though. I waited a couple more weeks and now they healed I think and im so happy with them they look super good I think they look very cool.
I hope this story helps anyone who is nervous about getting his or her lobes pierced. I think this was a good experience. I found it to be really great and it did not hurt much it was my first piercing by the way (I am probably getting more sometime soon) and I advise someone to get this if they are scared to get anything pierced they should start with this one because I found it to be very easy to do. I plan on piercing the same lobe for the third time sometime soon and I am planning on stretching my lobe piercings to about 14ga so I can fit some of the jewelery from BMEshop.
I am thinking of ordering some black acrylic loops and a 14g captive bead ring jewelry I shall see what i do but for now this is this is the ending of my experience. I'm not good at endings of stuff so goodbye all of you people who read my story have fun.
