My Industrial Experience.
As Monday came around I was sitting in my room, browsing the BME website. I had been checking out the ear piercing section and I saw one that caught my eye, an Industrial. So I looked at all of the pictures that I could on it, an read as much as I could on the piercing, which to me was somewhat funny because I had never researched any of my piercing's as much as this one. Which was a double-edged sword because I read some stories that were about how much of a great time it was while getting it and others about the horrible pain. So I figured I'd sleep on it and if I felt the same way in a couple of days then I would beg my mother to let me get it done.
So Thursday came by and I was completely hooked on the thought of getting an Industrial
done. So that night I pleaded with my mom to take me to La' Rox the next day and after a few discussions
she gave in. I was so excited I even tried to show her the stuff on the Internet about the piercing but she didn't seem too interested. And even gave me the famous line "What about when your sixty years old and have all these holes in your body" but I was to caught up in my glory to care.
So Friday it is and we headed up to La' Rox at around 7:30 after she got off work. It's funny
I have had piercing's done in the past and one thing I noticed is that I always seem to get the same feeling in my stomach at the very same moment every time I go.
So we went in and waited for a moment and my mom gave me the "do you really want to do this look" and I just smiled. And stepped up to the counter and told them I wanted an Industrial done. So we did one hell of a load of paperwork, which is understandable, and the guy there was really cool. They explained that they would pierce me with a fourteen-gauge needle and I picked out surgical stainless cbrs with silver balls. The guy there 'I think his name was Blair' explained all the after care and was very thorough about everything and was very courteous and polite, about all my questions and I didn't have to wait long at all.
A few minutes later I was walking into the little piercing room and I felt the same waves of nervousness come over me the exact same way it did everytime I but it was soon gone because the piercer Kris was really cool. There was some really explicit stuff on the radio and it kind of settled my nerves a bit. He told me that he was a vocalist in a local metal band, which was pretty cool, because the local metal scene in the northeastern Ohio area really kicks ass. So after that he put his gloves on and got the piercing needle out he put it in some kind of antibiotic ointment. I was pretty caught up when he told me about what band he was in because some friends of mine had told me about it. He said on the count of three to take a deep breath and it was a little pinch and not much pain at all. He did the second and same feeling and no blood. I took a look in the mirror and they were exactly how I expected them to look. After that I thanked him for the piercing and left for home.
Since then my Industrial has been everything I expected it to be not too much pain except when I went to get a haircut and the lady was trimming behind my ears and dug her cheap fake nails into one. Besides that it has definitely been a good experience. And is a good addition to my collection of body piercings, so far I have a Labret, Eyebrow, Tragus, and Industrial.
I'd have to say this was the best piercing experience to date, and if you like the look of the Industrial go for it it's definitely worth the cost and the pain, if any. And if anyone out there is looking to get a tattoo or piercing in the Ohio area La'Rox is definitely worth it. I've had all of my piercings done there and my brother has had his tattoo done there and it looks phenomenal. I feel that they charge a reasonable price for they service you get which is always great. I also recommend Kris, he definitely made me feel more comfortable, less nervous, and he was definitely a professional.
