OK, this is the story of a piercing I've wanted for a long time and finally went through with it. OK, it started like this. When I went on vacation to California I had this urge to get my cartilage done. I was looking through BME's site to learn about it and I saw the industrial piercing and at first I was like "Who would do that to themselves?" and then I kept thinking about it and really started to like it but it looked painful so i just went ahead and did the cartilage.

When I saved up enough money I told my mom I wanted to get it. I could tell she was a little hesitant about it but since it was my own money she said OK. I asked her if she'd take me that weekend but she had to work so she said she'd take me on Friday and I had off school that day so it was better that way anyway. Everyone told me that an industrial was the most painful piercing anyone could get so I started to get really nervous. Slowly the days past and then it was finally Friday.
My mom told me she'd take me at 2:30 that day. The whole day I wasn't nervous at all until I was on my way there. My boyfriend came with me because I wanted to show him soon as it was done. Well once i got there my mom and I had to sign a bunch of papers and go to some place next store for a notary thing. Next the guy who did my industrial asked to see my ear and held the barbell up to it, I guess to see if it would fit. He told me to hold on while he got everything ready. A few minutes later he called me back and had me sit down in a big chair. (Kind of like the one the dentist has.) I sat down and he marked the two holes with a pen. I couldn't really see what he was doing because I facing the opposite way, but I could kind of see in a mirror across the room. Next, he got the needle and and cork and asked me if I was ready and pushed the needle through really hard because the cartilage is really hard to get through. Well, I wont lie it did hurt, but it felt more like pressure than just pain. After the first hole was done he did the same with the second hole which was kind of the opposite of the first one, it was more painful then just pressure. After that he but the barbell in and I didn't even feel it go through the second hole but it hurt when it went through the first hole it was much more painful than the actual piercing. Lastly he screwed the ball on the barbell and i was done. It looked so good. I tipped him $5 and I left.
It stung a little bit after but only for a little while and then it completely went away. Now I can barely feel it and I just got it done yesterday. I slept on my other side last night because there was noway I could have slept on it. When I took a shower I was afraid I would get shampoo in it but it was absolutely fine.
I haven't gone back to school yet so I only got to show a few people but I cant wait until I go back so I can show all my friends. I think it looks really good on me, it fits me well and I'm so glad i went through with it. It was definitely the most painful piercing out of the other two that I have. I had my belly button and my cartilage done but the 14g earring fell out so I'm letting it close up so i can get it done again.
Well, if your thinking about getting it done you should go with it. It hurts a bit, but its so worth it. I already am in love with mine and I just got it yesterday. Oh, and to take care of it your supposed to soak it in a water and sea salt mixture for like 10 minutes about twice a day. If you do it too much you would dry it out and you done want that to happen. Usually your piercer will tell you or give you something to but on the piercing to keep it from getting Well that's about it. If you want it, go for it, it's definitely worth it.
