Im so happy right now! I JUST got my inner conch pierced. It was quite a fun experiance.

There was this one guy who was from stephenville. And in the little info part was the site address for his body piercing shop. So I went to the page. Prior to this I heard nothing but good things about them. So when I seen their site, everything looked so proffesional. I REALLY wanted to go there and get something pierced but I didnt know what. I wanted my Inner Conch done for over a year now but I've been too chicken to get it done. So i figured maybe this time Id go for it. So I emailed Joe and asked him how much for conch and all the usual stuff. I made an appointment for 4:00 on saturday.
So up comes saturday. I woke up at 9:00am.... Then again at 10:00am.... then again at 10:30, then 11:00, then 11:30, so I just got up at 11:30 cuz i was too exicited to sleep. I called my sister at 11:30 to make sure she was going. So I got ready and 3:00 rolled around and I called my sister again. She wasnt ready!! She never made it over to my house until 4:00! I was sooo pissed! So my mom called out there to make sure they werent closing and that Id have enough time to get it out there. See, Stephenville is a 45 minute drive from here.
So when we got out on the highway and the weather was pretty good. About 10 minutes into the drive it started snowing like MAD. The snow started getting really deep. My sister kept saying "im turning around and goin home" and I was like "nooooooo i'll probally never get the guts to do this again!" But we kept goin. The weather was sooo bad though. Then when we got there, we couldnt find the street it was on. So we stopped to my uncles house and asked him where the street was and he told us. So we FINALLY found it. My brother or sister wouldnt come in with me so I went by myself.
When I stepped in the door I started to get really nervous. But I was there now and there was no turning back. The lady had me sign some papers and let me look at their profile while some girl was getting her belly button pierced. Heh, she was scared shitless. I remember the days when I was scared about a navel or eyebrow piercing.
Soon everything was done and cleaned. I went in the room and sat in a chair while the girl cleaned everything. Then she was like "ok sit over here." Oooh I could have just passed out right there and then. She showed me about the needles and how to tell if they are autoclaved or not. Then the Joe came in and started cleaning off my ear. Everytime he'd pick up a q-tip Id say "are u doin it now?!?!" I was a nervous wreck.
Now to the piercing. I felt the needle touch me. Then he started to push it. I just sat there and did my little "pain feels good, pain feels good, pain feels good" state of mind. I do it when im getting pierced so I dont really feel the pain, I just feel the needle. Anywhoo, so it hurt a BIT half way through. Then he stopped. I was like "oh no" in my head cuz I thought the worst was yet to come. Then he gave it another push and BOOM, it just slid righ on through. I never even felt it!! It was awesome! I was waiting for a big crunch like my tragus but there was NOO crunch at all!
After it was done, they gave me an aftercare sheet and things. I ran out to the car happy as ever! I was so glad I finally got it done and over with! And it was sooo worth it! I was so scared that it was goin to hurt cuz after reading all the experiances on bme, they all said it hurt. But I honestly have to say it wasnt that bad at all! I might get my other one pierced sometime! I plan on getting my rook pierced, and if I do, Im DEFINITLY getting it done out there. They are great. So if you want to get your inner conch pierced then go for it! The pain is very minimal and worth it.
But now comes the healing part. I hate the healing part more then the pain. I dont know what sleeping is goin to be like tonight. It shouldnt be that bad though cuz I got pierced with a barbell instead of cbr. I think it will be a bit easier to heal with. And it wont get snagged as much and wont put as much pressure on it. So yeah, thats my experiance! It was a good one! (besides the weather! argh)
