It all started out one day while I was in 7th grade when out of no where I asked my mom if I could pierce my ear, knowing the answer would be no. To my surprise the answer was "yes." So, that weekend, I went with my cousins to one of those stores in the mall with the "Free ear piercing!" sign in the window. There I got my left ear pierced, and yes, it was with a piercing gun. If I would have known the dangers of piercing guns I would have never have gone there.

After my piercing was finally healed, I got into the habit of doing creative things with it. I would hang heavy objects by it, find objects small enough to fit into it, etc.It wasn't until I was a freshman when I learned about stretching and large gauge earrings. After seeing a few people at my school that had done minor stretching, I decided to go to a piercing shop. Because of my lack of knowledge about body piercing, I thought that to make your hole larger, it was to be pierced or re-pierced to the size desired. I soon found out, thanks to a piercer, that you had to stretch. So, instead of re-piercing my ear to a larger gauge, I just pierced a second hole in my left lobe and had my old one stretched to a 12g.
About 3 weeks later, I went to Hot Topic, knowing that they sold body jewelry. There I bought a 10g steel captive bead ring. Immediately I switched the jewelry.
I quickly fell in love with stretching. I couldn't wait to reach my desired gauge, which was an 8g so that I could fit an acrylic spike I had seen when I bought my 10g. I was sure that I would stop once I reached 8g. That didn't exactly happen though.
Quickly, but painfully, I reached an 8g and had my spike. Getting the spike in wasn't easy. As much as I shoved and lubricated, it just wouldn't go in. After the shower technique failed, I decided to put it in as far as it would go and leave it there for a while. This was probably the point in which I felt the most pain. For a day and a night my ear was red and burning, and even stung when I touched it. Trust me, it was really hard to sleep, and I didn't get much of it. But it was worth it. In the morning, I went to the bathroom and gave it another try. To my surprise, it easily slid in!
I experienced no other problems until I was ready to go on to a 4g. I know, I was supposed to stop at an 8g, but that didn't satisfy me. As much as I tried, I couldn't get it in myself and knew I wouldn't. So, I went back to the same Body Piercing store, Sachs, and had it tapered. While the guy was doing my ear, he told me that me second hole looked ready to be stretched. I was so caught up in my first hole that I forgot about my second. So, as soon as I got home, I put a 12g into that hole.
This was to be as far as I was going to go with my bottom hole, so I focused on my second. The stretching process with this hole went much faster and easier. But soon I wanted to make my first hole bigger, I still wasn't satisfied. So, I went back to Hot Topic and bought an acrylic curved spike. Since I had the 4g in there for a really long time, it went in with ease.
By this time I was up to a 4g on the second hole. Here is where I had a problem: After getting back from riding my nephew's 4-wheeler, I discovered that the earring that was in my second hole was gone! It must have fallen off because I kept taking my helmet off and putting it back on. So, I ran to my room and put all the old body jewelry I had into the hole. It was quit as big as the 4g, but the weight was to make up for it. Since I didn't have money for a new earring yet, I stopped at taco bell and took home a straw. Straws make great tunnels!
Now I wanted to pierce my right ears and stretch it to. This piercing was done at Sachs to. This hole went to a 4g within a month and a half. I just couldn't wait. Quickly the piercing on my left ear were at 7/16 and 2g, and my left ear was at a 2g. I was also planning on stopping at 7/16 on my bottom holes and a 2g in the top.My 2 piercing on my left ear got really close and the skin in between them was very thin. Since they were so close, at night my ear would become very irritated because when I laid my head on that side, the 2 earring would rub together pinching the skin. This started to really bother me, so I decided to take out my second hole and let it close. After all that work! Well, I was probably going to have to close it if I wanted to make the first hole any bigger.
Currently both ears are at 9/16 and I don't really plan on making them any bigger, for a while, because my mom got mad. She said I had to stop stretching at 00g. As I continued, I just kept making excuses saying they just "looked" bigger. For example, I would say, "No mom, it just looks bigger than the other one because this earring is hollow." Well, that one worked till now. Maybe I'll just wait a while so she will forget and won't notice when I do stretch it. I want to go to AT LEAST 5/8. But, till then, I have started stretching my labret! Hopefully she won't notice that! That story coming soon!
