Hello , first of all sorry for my poor English but I come from Italy, anyway I will do my best to make this experience comprehensible. I came to America this summer to study so all my preoccupations about parents just flew away. After all they are on the other side of the world and they can't say anything.

Back to my story, it is almost an year that I have been following this site and I got the inspiration for a transversal lobe piercing, I liked it because I find it pretty alternative from the original standard lobes.Me and my host family decided to go to Florida on vacation for a week and since we left the only thing I could think about was getting my translobe done. I already have my traguses pierced so I was not that scared by the needle ,anyway ,we flew to Florida and as soon as we got there I started investigate about where I could find a good piercing studio.
Finally after plenty of calls I found the one which inspired me most, it was called eternal art, even the flier was pretty nice so I just decided to do that.I went to the place alone, they received me with open arms and made me sit on this chair, the name of the piercer was Monica , she was a nice 30's woman with tattooed sleeves and a lot of piercings , cheeks included, which I really love!! She explained me all the procedure slowly and she carefully disinfected all the stuff using new needle and gloves .
She told that was her second time doing a translobe, but it was not a big problem for me because I wanted it really very bad. We choose the jewelry together and she adviced me that a 14 ga was the optimal one, so I decided a normal silver barbell.Anyway, she took the needle and she told to breath, the needle went thru but not all the way, I knew it was gonna happen , there is quite a bit of flesh in the lobe, so she told me to breath again and so I did but the needle didn't pop up on the other side yet so with a third strong push it went finally thru !!! It took something like 20 seconds to do it probably but this doesn't have to scare anybody!
No pain at all, at least for my personal opinion. I like pain after all, and getting pierced for me is an awesome sensation because I feel like downloading my stress and leave all the bad things behind. After that I proudly stand up and run to the mirror to check my new modification, I loved it, the post-piercing mirror experience is really pure satisfaction, you never feel so good !!
I truthfully thanked Monica for the excellent job she did and she gave me a paper containing all the instructions for the aftercare plus a teeny tiny bottle of surgical soap to disinfect it.When my hostparents saw it they told it was gross and not nice and I simply told them that I can do whatever I want to my body.
When I went out I was literally jumping out my body , that was my fourth piercing and probably the coolest one, anyway.. For the first two days I got some problems because it was bleeding pretty often and crusties were forming pretty easily, now, after almost a month it looks almost completely healed and I love it just as the first day I got it.
The aftercare was not too hard , I disinfected twice a day carefully and I had even slept on it.Personally the best sensation I can get from my new piercing is touching it and feel a bar thru my lobe, I often play with it at school , I am looking forward to change the jewelry and put something a little more colorful even if with a transversal lobe there isn't a big choice of jewelry to put in.
That is my experience , now we are getting closer to Christmas and I really wanna get another piercing done , maybe an antitragus or something , I will see .
I advice this kind of piercing to anyone who is tired of the standard lobes piercings and who wants to get something a little different , I think that probably the Tr.Lobe in a couple of years will be as popular as the regular ones. I have already taken some pictures of it and I am gonna send them as soon as possible to BME.
I would like to thank BME for giving me the opportunity to write my experience and finally give my little contribute to you guys.Bye
Panny
