okay, i was about to go into the sixth grade, so this was way back in uh.. 1994 i believe. i wanted to be "cool" when i went into middle school, so i asked my mom if i could get my ears pierced for my birthday. i believe she said yes, i don't quite remember. i wasn't nervous at all or scared. i wanted to have my ears pierced very badly so i begged my mother.

i sat in the dumb chair and waited for the lady to get the crap ready. and she showed me a few pairs of stud earrings to choose from and i picked these dorky gold lightning thinger earrings. so she loaded the earring into the gun thinger and i think she wiped my earlobe with alcohol or something. this was so long ago so i don't quite remember.
so she put the gun thing to my left ear and pressed the button thingy. i think it hurt a little. i looked at my ear and it turned bright red. it swelled a bit, i think, and it started stinging, i could already feel myself getting a bit dizzy. it was neato. i wasn't sure about getting my other ear pierced (yes that sounds stupid, but its true) cuz my other ear was hurting but then she wiped my right
ear lobe with the alcohol swab and put the gun thing to my ear again and pressed the button thing. it didn't feel nice. my ears hurt. i couldn't hear much. she put the backs on my earrings and i hardly remember anything after that.
i was dizzy as hell and i thought i was going to pass out. the lady made me sit there so my mom could go down to the food court to get me a pop. she got me a disgusting coke and made me drink it. i sat there for about five minutes recovering. i dont know if i blacked out or what, i'm not quite sure what the hell my problem was. i think getting my ears pierced so fast was a big shock to my body or something.
anyway, i don't remember if they bled or anything like that, all i remember is that my ears turned red and they hurt to be touched. i finally got to look at my neato new ear piercings in the mirror when i was able to actually see. the lady then gave me ear piercing cleaner stuff and explained that i had to wipe the ear piercing stuff on my ears twice a day and twist the earring around half way.
so i believe i finally got to get up and leave without falling over and passing out. i remember later in the day at night before i went to bed, i had to wipe the ear cleaner stuff on my piercing and turn it and it hurt like hell!! i had to do it to both ears and i hated it. i continued doing the cleaning and turning for the next week or two, then i had to go back to the piercing place in albany.
there, i had to give back those crappy lightning earrings and they threw them out. then i got to pick out a new pair. funny, i don't remember what they looked like. i think they were silver ball studs. but i can't remember. so anyway i picked out my new pair of earrings, the lady helped me put them in and then i was done. my ear piercings healed very nice. they hurt a little, and stung every time i turned them, but it's okay.
since then nothing much has happened since i got my ears pierced years ago. they got a little icky once when i put in earrings that i was allergic too. that didn't go to well. i don't remember what kind they were though. i have never had a really bad infection in my piercings at all.
my ear piercings have done very well, surprisingly. i've forgotten about my ear piercings a lot cuz i just stopped wearing earrings. i got sick of cleaning the piercings and stuff or maybe i just got lazy and tired of my ear piercings.
but in the end, i'm glad i got my ears pierced, because i learned i can tolerate pain, and now i can go get more piercings in the future. and hopefully next time i won't almost pass out!
