Well well well, where do i start? How about stating that I was 16 and an idiot? I wanted my cartialge pierced. So after awhile I decided to go on down to the mall and get it done( At the time I didn't know about the evil gun) Anywho, i got to Ardens and told them what I wanted. Showed them the ol' ID and i was on my way. I might also wanna not that i did ask my parents permission. Mom said no, Dad said yes, therefore it was a Yes.

The piercing it's self didn't hurt, it was after that hurt like a bitch. I noticed after a few days that there was alot of swelling, anyways I just left it and waited my 4-6 weeks. I cleaned it evert day with salt water and whatnot. But as many may know it is hard to clean with those stupid butterfly clips.
Note: I also kept picking up my phone on the pierced ear BAD IDEA!
After those horrible weeks i decided to put a sterling silver hoop in( i hate gold). And to my horror I had some huge hypertrophic scaring going on. It wasn't a keliod, i knew that but it was just as bad.
I have my piercing done for 2 years now. It still bugs me alot, but i don't wanna take it out( yes im a moron).I now wear a 16 Gauge barbell in it. I find it keeps the irritaion down. Although i do find that a cbr works well to. I do at one point wanna gauge to a 14 but i doubt it will ever happen.
But if i have one piece of advice. Don't be a MORON. Go to a proper piercing studio. It's worth the extra money. I know i will be going to "The Chubby Chameleon" for my long awaited tragus piercing.
Questions:- Why did you not go to a piercing studio.A- You have to be 17 with ID ( i was 16 with ID, which was gonna get me no-wheres)-How bad did it hurt afterwards?A- Well try taking a fork and shoving it in your left hand....leave it there for about 5 weeks....see how well it heals, then multiply it by 10.- What is "The Chubby Chameleon" ?A- The best piercing studio in the greater Moncton Area.Yet another NOTE:
My little 13 yearold sister went to get her cartilage pierced a few weeks ago. I told he to save her money and my BF and i would drive to "The Chubby Chameleon" . But apperently stupidity runs in my family and she went to the same store as i did. But unlike my horror story her's turned out very normal. Then again she removed the stud about a week after the piercing and put in a hoop. I'm guessing this may have cut down on the swelling.(cause those piercings need to "breath" and that stupid butterfly clip wont do anyone anygood.)
As well i have read and heard about many parents taking their children to piercing studio's for lobe piercings, and i couldn't be more happier. These parents actually took the time to research about the piercing techniques and the are making the right decisions. I'm glad to hear that the word about the Evil Guns is getting around. If i have it my way the guns will no longer be able to be used in Canada( or North America for that!)I would also like to make note of nose piercing with the guns.....that is even worse than your ears. I have seen places like Claire's do nose piercings with guns. What are you?
An idiot, they are bad for your ears and there fore and bad for ANY part of your body!! I am currently working on starting up an "anit-piercing gun website" This will hopefully get the word out on how horrible piercing guns actually are. They are so unsafe and un-sterile. Anyone who pierces with a gun might as well make sure to gun is extreamly rusty....since you want Hep. C you might as well go for tetnus while your at it.
