Location boston Anyway i was in eighth grade, this would make me about 13 years old.. i was in that "I'm a bad ass stage" ( you know the one where you try to look cool drinking n smoking n feel like you know everything) most of my friends were older than me and had piercing done and had other various piercing. nothing really big stuff like their eyebrows n tongue, nipple etc. The more popular piercing done around that time.
anyway since I wanted to be really in with them. And fig I would get piercing exactly like them. I took it upon myself to re-pierce and do new piercing to my ears. ( I had my ears done before when I was little but they closed up.
so one day out of the blue i took a regular safety pin (NOT a good idea since the metal can chip off when your piercing) and i try'd to disinfect it as much as possible. ( burn it with a lighter and then used alcohol, yeah I'm not a bright one) and i also disinfected my ears with alcohol, i got the ice cube numbed my ears for about 15 min and put the sucker in. Basically it didn't hurt at all.( I have a pretty high pain tolerance) I did it fast as I could, just in case I felt anything, it went thru pretty easy except for the end when I had to push it thru the last layer of skin. the only thing I felt mostly was pressure.
after i was done with redoing both left and right ears i did them a second time.. this time without numbing my ears.. i didn't really feel any pain.. except maybe a little discomfort pushing it thru the last layer of skin.. and did this a third and forth because i wanted it to be done now.. ( I'm impatient) and i did it only 4 times cause by then they were starting to throb, not really hurt but like throb and so i fig 4 on the bottom was enough. i did one more of each side my cartilage or whatever way up top and that one had some pain with it.( I also did it without numbing ). ( after i was done with the piercing i took out the needle and stuck a disinfected earring in. and proceeded so on like that) Also the upper ear was more sore then the rest of them after it was done. it stayed sore since it was taken out.
oh my stories not done. My Mom back then thought that it didn't look right for a young girl to have those done n told me to remove them or she would remove them for me. ( more like. take then out now or ill rip them out of your ears. ) so they lasted about a week and a half). And then they got taken out except for the first ones. And eventually they all healed over. the first ones i did (re-pierced) got infected and really gross haha.. i didn't wear earrings for a couple of years after that. most of the time if i had worn earring only for a day or too they would puss up and be sore so i couldn't put anything in them. ( but they are all better now, no infected ears.. im very careful with any piercing though. as you should be :P )
now i wouldn't really recommend doing your own piercing unless you know what your doing and that your sterile with everything you do, i cant say enough how much important cleanliness is )... i had no clue and i got my ears infected.. and also i think that you should want your piercing .. when i was that young i wanted them to fit in.. i didn't do it for myself.. i also could of done a lot more damage then just get my ears infected. right now all i have done is my ears (everything is back to normal, my ears are fine haha) and right now I'm the process of stretching them.. i think i may only go up to a 0g but
you never know.. i also plan to do a lot more for myself, vertical bridge are beautfil and i plan to get my lip done,maybe a monroe, i also plan to get my back piece tattooed ( a roman angel )on my birthday ( which is april 1st.. you know if you want to buy me presents. i plan to go to people i know and trust, and that i know are very sterile (im all about being disinfected if you havent caught on) and thats my pathetic little story.
