I've been obsessed with piercings and tattoos forever! I got my ears pierced before I was one and now have five in each lobe. I've alway worn those really fake looking tattoos and the ear cuffs. About three years ago, I got be tragus pierced (by Dave too, who is MAJORLY awesome!) because I saw one a long time ago on a girl and it was the coolest thing ever. I have gotten so many compliments on it and some people have gotten their pierced after seeing mine! After that, I wanted everything pierced! Since I'm not 18 yet, I still have to get adult approval on what I get done, so I'm only allowed to "destroy" my ears, as my mother would say (oh well).

I got on the BME site and searched around for a while. I wanted to get my tongue web pierced, but my mother was like no way. I hunting around for a little longer till I found my new love: a rook. It was so cool, I just had to have it! I live right around the local tattoo/piercing parlor so it was going to be easy for me to run and get it. I called Lola's and asked about prices and made an appointment for myself. I wanted Dave to pierce me again, since my tragus healed in almost two weeks with little or no pain. I found out about him through a friend who got his tongue and eyebrow pierced by him. I persuaded my mother to come with me, since it would only take a couple of minutes and I had already made the appointment. At first, she didn't want me to "destroy my beautiful ears with all that garbage" but finally said yes and we were off.
When we got there, I wasn't nervous at all. I couldn't wait to get it done. We got there right on time and before I could start getting anxious and start pacing around, I was called into the back. I asked my mother to come with me but she said she would faint and that wouldn't be a good thing. She doesn't like needles or the sight of blood. Dave then took me to the back room, sat me down on the cool tiger print chair, and we talked about what I wanted and what I should get. I wanted a curved barbell for the rook but he said it wouldn't heal as nicely as a ring would. He said it would be easier to take care of, since I could rotate the ring with ease. I trusted his judgment a lot more than mine, so I went for it. As he got all ready, with a fresh needle and a new pair of gloves, I suddenly felt my heart beating with excitement. I was going to get another awesome piercing! My hands were shaking slightly when he came back over to me with the clamp. When he was fitting the clamp on me, he kept saying "You have such little ears!" He was having trouble getting a good grip, so I asked him if it would be easier for him to pierce my snug, because that still would be cool too but he rejected that idea. "I like a challenge." So I told him to go for it, I was up for anything. Finally after about seven minutes of pulling at my ear with the clamp, he got a good grip and went for the needle. I took a deep breath just as he pushed the needle through. I heard the cartilage break and was waiting for the pain to start. It didn't hurt at all! I just felt a tiny bit of pressure but that was it. He placed the tiny 20 g ring in and told me I was done. After, he said it was probably one of the best rook piercings he has done! The whole thing took less then 15 minutes, and it turned out really nice. He said the ring he gave me is still a tiny bit too big but he wouldn't have been able to get the ring on if he used the smaller side. He told me after the piercing has heals (in about 6 to 8 weeks), I could come back and get the smaller ring. It was all good. I payed him the money and gave him a good tip, then went out and showed my mother, who said it looked painful but nice. She's really not into all the tattoos and piercings like I am. I love the piercing so much, it looks really cute and unique. Doesn't hurt at all....... Now, my next goal is to beg my mother to let me get a tattoo. :)
