-Background Info: I am a 17 year old male, living in Cincinnati, Ohio. Ever since i was 8 or so I wanted an earring, but of course my parents fobide it. by the time i was 16 i talked them into letting me get 2 14g cbr's in my left lobe, which started from my girlfriend's cousin's gun....... (i know, ack, bad, bad) but then i started reading stuff off this amazing site here, and learned as much as possible about piercings, i am still learning of course. (about every night i read a few experiences....)

My friend showed me an INDUSTRIAL on this site, and i fell in love with it, the idea of a long bar going through two holes, and being all lined up w/ spikes on the ends got me excited, i must have it! My parents of course said no way, and seeing as i had read so much from here, i wouldn't think of going to any place less than perfect to get this done, being a minor and all, the good places want gardians w/ you.

I settled for getting my right cartilage rim pierced w/ a 14g 3/8 barbell w/ spikes on the ends, and my left cartilage w/ a 14g 7/16 circular barbell (and spikes on the ends of course!) knowing very well i would soon have an industrial. that was about 8 months ago.

-parents still insist on no facial piercings, thats why i have my "ear project"!

-story: So about a week or so ago my parents were getting sick of my beard/goatee thingy and said if i shaved it they'd let me pierce stuff, of course i gave them my list :) i want(ed) my right lobe twice, another barbell on my left lobe, another cartilage spike on my right cartilage rim, both inner lobe bottoms stretched to 10g (cause i found some awesome tallons i want). My tongue, both inner eyebrows w/ curved barbells and spikes, and finally my industrial. They said no way to my 'brows and tongue, then asked what i want most of all, i said my industrial, figuring i'd get a fast "NO WAY!!!" but to my surprise they said yes, but also adding that this would be the last piercing i get-lol (i'll be 18 in one year, and have 3 tattoos picked out and priced! plus a few more holes)

I called my favorite piercing studio, ACME, and they said they'd do it, but the piercer that does minors (my favorite anyway) wouldn't be there till wed. (it was tues., halloween) so i waited till wed., then called back and asked him to do it........ rejected, they told me they'd only do 18 year olds for that piercing........ I was very sad...... determined I called every place i'd heard was good, or even decent, a few places said they'd do it, but others wanted to start it w/ cbr's and then put the barbell in later, and i've read on here that is no good, and that it'll be harder to line up and curved holes.

So that narrowed down my selection again! I found a place, and made sure they had jewelry to do it, and they did! I went out there w/ my parents and friends, it was much more expensive than ACME would have been, but it's worth it for a good job-right? I got out there and it was clearly not as sanitary, professional, and cool as ACME, but what's it matter, i'm not gonna be living here, right? Just haveing them do a job then leaving! Well, they got me ready, lined up, then couldn't find a barbell long enough, my greatest nightmare! found a curved one, straightened it out, still not long enough, back to the 2 cbr idea....... I left w/ no piercing........ depressed.......

Called ACME back and talked to my piercer this time, he said he'd do it, that he didn't know it was me asking days before, and since i already had a rim, which is basically the same thing, he'd do it!

*success*

I set an apoinment, and hurried over, and it was awesome, picked out jewelry, disscusses details, lined it up, had some jokes (i drank a milk shake an hour before and had some apple juice before the piercing, good blood/sugar level!) his apprentice asked if he could watch, i said sure, and we started! He pierced the top hole first, i didn't really feel it much, i knew he did it, but it didn't really hurt, the second one was definately there though!!! it hurt more than any i've had, ......so far :) i was waiting for him to put the barbell in and he sat the chair up and handed me some candy! I was like "don't you have to put the bar in still?" he replied "what?, i already did that!" i was in awe.......I tipped him, very cool feeling, to be expecting more pain, and find out there is none! while my mom talked to the other owner, I told Cannon what else i wanna do in the future, and him and I talked my mom in to a few more for my right ear, since i have 5 on the left and 1 on the right, it's a little un-even :) ..........(i did not plan that of course, you know- "mom i have to even it out so it looks good!" -lol) I started my way out, thanking people as i went!

-All in all my Industrial looks very good, and it was definately worth every penny spent for it, including gas, and pain :) it didn't hurt much at all, of course, i felt it, but it wasn't 'unbearable' as people put it. sea salt has always worked great for me, it's amazing shit! the INDUSTRIAL looks bad as hell, i'll send in some digital pictures soon! please e-mail me w/ any questions, i'd love to answer anything!

-much thanks to CANNON and everyone at ACME........ can't wait to put my spikes on after it's healed a little! I'll definately go back to ACME for more piercings!
