PierceMe!!! |

Going through high school, I don't think anyone ever thought I was normal . . .Yeah I looked normal but, I was a little antisocial. On my 18th birthday, it just so happened that I had the flu. So, 10 days later, I was off to a friendly piercing studio. Since that day, I have acquired a total of 5 piercings. My favorites are definatly my ears, and that is what I'm here to talk about today. My very first piercing ever was my tragus. My boyfriend at the time, took me to the piercing place and held my hand. I was so nervous that I almost shook off the table. Eventually I calmed down, and the process could begin. She told me how to breathe and when she would actually jab the needle though my ear. On three, she poked that thing through my tragus and it made the most horrible noise ever. The pain was almost non-existant. I've been told I have a high tolerance for pain, but honestly this piercing did not hurt. After the piercing took place, I went to get cleaning supplies i.e. bactine and dial soap and then went to eat. I loved my piercing, everyone thought it was cool, I was pretty much the only person at my school who had anything pierced but the lobes, so I got stared at sometimes. A few days later, the bead on the CBR broke. I lost it. My poor little 18g ring was just sitting there with a big gap in it. I went to school, and had everyone trying to squeeze it shut so it wouldn't come out. Remember this was feshly pierced and it was beginning to hurt. So a week later, I went back to the studio, got a bead and the girl there had to re-bend the ring from the poor state it was in.
The next experience come after I have entered college and got bored on a Friday night. I had wanted my snug pierced for the longest time, but no piercer in my area had any idea how to go about it. I finally found Brady, the coolest guy ever. He had never done one but said he couldn't wait to try. I was brave and said cool. An hour later I had a 16g cbr in my snug. Yes the whole piercing process took like an hour. After marking, and remarking realizing clamps don't work, and a little prayer J, he was ready to pierce. This time, it didn't really hurt that much until the jewelry part. When he tried to put the ring in, the amount of cartilidge pierced made it difficult. Now this was a piercing I was proud of, its my favorite I think. About a month later, I switched from a CBR to a barbell, its even cooler.
With the changing of my snug, I now had an extra ring laying around. What to do, what to do. I went back to brady, and got my rook done. Apparently this wasn't supposed to hurt that bad, well, that was really really wrong. It hurt like a bitch. He had to push a lot to get the needle through, and after a rest, it took what seemed like at least 10 minutes to get the jewelry to go in the piercing. After all that torture, I walked away with the coolest ear I ever seen!! Well my rook story isn't over, where I go to school, it gets extremely cold and that's when problems started again. The ring I used in the rook was really too large, but I didn't care, I like it, but when it got cold, my ear tightened around the ring. I was in intense pain for almost 10 hours, throbbing, burning, I was afraid it was infected. I went the next day to brady to check it to make sure it was cool, he said there was nothing wrong with it, so we were confused. We finally decided to put a smaller ring in it to try that. Since then I have had no problems and I love my ear!!
There are several things that have happened to my piercings in the last year. I am a kid prone to keloids, so I'm all the time popping and picking, putting shit on them, and usually I can contain them so that's not really a problem. Also when you get Xrays done, they are always cool cause the rings are really bright. Also if you play sports, I don't recommend getting piercings. I play soccer and frequently either have to take the ring out or put a bandaid over it. When you get hit in the ear with a soccer ball, you will appreiciate this advice. . .trust me. Well, I love my piercings,I have two others, my navel and nipple, and cant wait to get more. Peace Love and all that shit.
