Almost all of the stories and experiences on BME were written by the tens of thousands of volunteers who have helped build the site. These stories are here as a permanent record of our culture's love for and involvement with body modification. By writing for BME, not only do you get the satifaction of helping others, but you also get some rewards (access to the IAM site, as well as a membership to BME).

What do I get for writing a story?
All stories that are accepted for use on the site will get you a passcode for the IAM site, a massive body modification community site. In addition, all stories accepted will get access to BME/extreme2 lasting between 2 and 10 months (and triple that if they're featured). Stories written about subjects covered by BME/extreme (implants, corsetry, saline, subincision, non-fiction castration, etc.) get you full access, as do fantasy stories written for BME/HARD.

Can I write a story to extend my IAM page?
You bet! Please do.

How long after I send a story will I get a membership?
Generally we update the story sections of the site at least weekly. If you don't get a reply within ten days (normally it's less), there may have been a problem (most common is accidentally entering your email address wrong).

How do you decide which stories get accepted for use on BME?
Stories are "reviewed" by a large volunteer panel of readers. As long as your story is legitimate (not made up -- unless it's an erotic fantasy story for BME/HARD), and is relatively decently written (ie. run it through a spell check, make sure your grammar is OK, and stuff like that), there shouldn't be a problem. Pretty much all stories where the author wasn't just trying to scam a free membership for no effort are accepted.

I don't speak very good english. What should I do?
You can write your story in your native tongue! BME is multilingual.
